- Martin Hospitality has been a mainstay on the North Oregon Coast since 1966 and at the Surfsand Resort, some of the buildings dated back to that era. It was time for
an upgrade. In the Winter of 2005, O'Brien renovated 40 of the rooms in the Beachfront building. The work was complete in 4 months and turned over in time to meet the demand of Spring Break.
In Fall of 2006, work began again on the four remaining buildings: two were completely replaced and two were renovated. Due to careful coordination with the resort staff and subcontractors,
O'Brien was able to maintain a strict schedule allowing Surfsand Resort to remain in full operation through the entire construction process.
